Dry lapinized virus vaccine from the “K” strain against swine plague

 

COMPOSITION. Infected with productive lapinized virus of swine plague from the “K” strain spleen of rabbits with virus carrier blood as adjuvant.

PHARMACEUTICAL FORM. Dry mixture of red colour which dissolves quickly in saline solution.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES. Immunity comes on the 7-th day after vaccination and lasts 1 year.

The vaccine is not used for medical treatment.

INDICATION. Vaccine is used for prophylactic and emergency immunization of animals against swine plague in satisfactory, threaten and unsatisfactory farming and living areas.

Only clinically animals should be vaccinated.

For prophylactic vaccination:

– sows – 10-15 days prior to impregnation (mating) once a year;

– boars (male pigs) – once a year;

– piglings – at the age of 40 45 days and it should be followed up with a booster dose at the age of 85-100 days, then once a year.

VACCINATION SCHEDULE AND DOSAGE. Vaccine is administered intramuscularly and should be given in the site of the neck or inside the thigh with a dose of 2 ml.

VACCINE SHELF-LIFE. 11 months from the date of its manufacturing.

CONDITIONS OF STORAGE. The vaccine is stored in a dry, dark place at temperature not above  2-8 0 С.

PACKAGING. The vaccine is available in 10 ml glass hermetically sealed vials. 1 ml contains 50 doses.
